I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
